Swati Gauba Kochar, a name that definitely rings a bell in the world of curated commerce. With a business management degree from Mudra Institute of Communications (Ahmedabad), Swati made a foray into the digital space with one goal in mind – to facilitate and ease the shopping woes of digital buyers!
Hoppingo.com was launched in November of 2014, and by October of 2015 had a dedicated full-time staff of 10 complemented with many qualified product curators and freelance writers. The same month saw them voted amongst the Top 32 startups in India for the ‘Get In The Ring 2015’ organised by Nasscom – a noteworthy accomplishment for a one year old organization.
It was the grit and dedication of Swati which took Hoppingo.com to new heights which led them to become the recipient of a million page views in January of this year, 2016!
Hoppingo.com has liaised with 700 online commerce stores having curated 10,000 products till date. The idea, says Swati, ‘Stemmed from the fact that online shopping was becoming a worrisome chore simply because after surfing numerous e-stores, one is left enervated and yes, at times, confused. I too was a victim of this’. This made her understand the turmoil of other e-shoppers and she took a stand to create an e-platform showcasing curated products from across stores to ease the shopping angst of thousands of e-shoppers.
Today, shoppers express much cheer at being able to view wonderful products curated in the most unbiased fashion by Hoppingo.com - a platform they have come to trust and believe in.
What does the lady think about the future of e-commerce?
‘The boom has just started, we have a new generation that thinks differently, is happy to explore, is impatient, has no time, wants to buy ‘on-the-fly’ and we think Hoppingo.com is there to serve them to the hilt!
