Singer Debasish Bhattarchayra revives the soulful Rabindra Sangeet with his first album launch titled ‘Se Je Sob Hote Apon’ on Friday evening at Plush, The Astor. The launch witnessed the revered presence of Mr. Soumitra Chattopadhyay the narrator of the album along with his daughter Paulomi Chatterjee, who has penned the script for the same. This uniquely crafted bouquet of Rabindra Sangeet and English narration is Debasish Bhattacharya’s method to pay tribute to his long time role model Gurudev Rabindranath Tagorea and making these gharana more approachable to the young generation.
‘Se Je Sob Hote Apon.’ comprises of 10 melodious songs mixed with the signature style of Debasish Bhattarchayra. He has beautifully refashioned the selection of Rabindra Sangeet.
