১৯ মার্চ লায়ন্স ক্লাব এর উদ্যোগে আইসিসিআর হলে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে দ্যা চ্যালেঞ্জ-ইন্টার স্কুল। লায়ন্স ক্লাবের ১০ম সেলিব্রেশন উপলক্ষ্যে ইন্টার স্কুল কুইজ প্রতিযোগীতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। ১৫ মার্চ কলকাতা প্রেস ক্লাবে এক সাংবাদিক বৈঠকে এই কথা জানান প্রোগ্রাম চেয়ারম্যান পুস্পা আগরওয়াল।

China Musical Tour in India

 
The country's first live China Musical concert event was witnessed at Kolkata on ICCR last evening. The China Story A Music Tour for India was organized by Consulate General of People's of China in Kolkata in association with Indian Council for Cultural Relations Kolkata.

When China Musical Team play folk instrumentalist, and other music instruments was flooded over the stage , people are really spell bond and  none was able to move, even a pinch of silence stay over the floor.Pandit Subhankar Bose with his tabla and Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya with Santoor was equally well balance the atmosphere. 

 
The playing was diverse, exciting and had much variety of colour, musical idea and emotion.The Musical Tour will also perform their showcase at Rabindra Bharati University on 15th March,2017, and Viswa Bharati University respectively.

PRICELESS ART

ASHOK HARALALKA, Kavita Bhuwalka, Madhabi Sarkar, Nidhi Bhadani, Ritu Ketriwal, and Usha Bubna are contemporary artists from Kolkata are presenting an art exhibition, CART THAT ART – PRICELESS ART @ ARTFUL PRICES, at ICCR.

The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned fashion designer Agnimitra Paul and eminent actress Sayani Datta and was also graced by the US Consul General in Kolkata, Craig L. Hall. The exhibition that was inaugurated on March 4 will continue till 6TH MARCH 2016, 3pm TO 8pm.

The exhibition features six painters, namely Ashok Haralalka, Kavita Bhuwalka, Nidhi Bhadani, Madhabi Sarkar, Ritu Khetriwal and Usha Bubna, passionately painting for more than a decade and a half on a diverse range of subjects, from landscape to cityscape, from nature to abstract, from the muted to vibrant, primarily using acrylic on canvas. The paintings on display range from Rs 7,500 and go up to Rs 25,000.

Speaking at the event celebrity guest, Agnimitra Paul said, “The paintings are extraordinary representations and each person has encompassed a completely different style on the canvas. Actress Sayani Datta too was all praise for the exhibits. She said, “The paintings are not garbed in modern jargons. They are aesthetic representations that any lay man can comprehend and are pleasing to the eye.”
